FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) faces latest surcharge Replacement of indictment Opened on February 23rd.

The document details how SBF stole billions of dollars from customers and investors to support the operations of both FTX and its sister company Alameda Research. Additionally, he accuses SBF of using the stolen funds for speculative investments and his charitable contributions.
According to the indictment, the SBF donated tens of millions of dollars in illicit campaign funds to both Democrats and Republicans in order to “buy influence over cryptocurrency regulation in Washington, DC.”
According to the indictment:
“[SBF and his associates] Made over 300 political contributions totaling tens of millions of dollars, which were illegal because they were made in the name of straw donors or were paid with corporate funds. ”
Additionally, the documents allege that the SBF made a concerted effort to keep donations to Republicans “in the dark.”
The filing also alleges that SBF attempted to hide certain political contributions by donating money in “the names of two other FTX executives.”
