Demand for Decentraland’s MANA token and The Sandbox’s SAND token surged due to news of Apple’s new mixed reality VR headset. Now you know more about Apple’s exciting new technology.

It looks like Apple is gearing up for a grand entry into the metaverse. Bloomberg has revealed details about Apple’s new products. Mixed Reality VR Headsetmay cause another ripple effect on the market.

Just a few days ago, news about Apple’s mixed reality VR headset caused the price of Decentraland’s MANA token to skyrocket to US$7.80. Additionally, SAND also jumped to $0.83 USD on Jan. 21st.

MANA is currently priced at USD 4.70, up 135% last month. The price of SAND is US$0.76, up 69% over the last month. However, new details about Apple’s VR headset show that the device is made for the metaverse. As announced in November, Apple is making moves to challenge Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta.

Only time will tell how the market reacts to this latest announcement.

How Apple’s VR devices work

Apple’s mixed reality headsets feature an “iOS-like” interface that includes “many features” available on iPhones and iPads.

Additionally, Apple is looking forward to eye and hand tracking with an external camera that can analyze a user’s hands and eyes. Additionally, users can control the headset by looking at items on the screen and using gestures to activate items. This groundbreaking technology is therefore independent of physical controllers.

Importantly, the headset can switch between augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR). Augmented reality allows you to manipulate virtual objects into the real world. Virtual reality, on the contrary, provides a fully immersive virtual environment.

Apple seems to be going head-to-head with Meta’s Quest headset. Much like Meta, Apple’s technology is focused on providing compelling video conferencing capabilities. For example, a user can take advantage of his FaceTime-based video chat capabilities and meeting rooms. Additionally, for interactive meetings, the user’s real face and full body are rendered in Virtual His Reality.

What this means for the metaverse

next trademark We know that the headset, which was submitted last August, will likely be branded “Apple Reality.” Additionally, we can speculate that Apple is at odds with Meta in a gigantic battle for his Metaverse supremacy.

Apple is timid about its plans, but this revolutionary mixed reality VR headset is very clear.

It doesn’t seem all that far-fetched that Apple’s new headset could one day pair with vast virtual worlds like Decentraland and The Sandbox.
